What should I expect if I attend a worship service at Ridley Park UMC?

Worship at RPUMC strives to be inclusive of all ages and ways of experiencing God. Sunday services tend to be in a more traditional style, with familiar hymns, prayers, Scripture readings, Children's Time, and a sermon. Services also include some more contemporary aspects, such as contemporary music played before the service and an opportunity for congregation members to share their prayer concerns and joys with the faith community. An offering is taken as part of the service, but first-time visitors are not required to give- you are our guests and we want you to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. The service lasts about an hour, or a few minutes longer on the first Sunday of each month, when we celebrate Holy Communion together. There is no official dress code and cooler clothing is recommended in the summer (when our service switches to 10:00am for cooler weather).
