The specific mission of Ridley Park United Methodist Church is to reach out with the free gift of God's grace to a community of diverse economic, educational, and employment backgrounds in order to build disciples of Jesus Christ and equip them to share the blessing of God with others.

A key component of this mission is to move beyond the walls of the church building to be in ministry with the families of the Ridley School District, especially those with young children in need of support and care.

This community has an ever-growing need for hope, a sense of belonging, and a recognition that God is missing from their lives. Many in the community find it difficult to participate in a regular worship experience because of family, work and recreational obligations. Many others don't participate because they have never been invited to come. With the economic uncertainties of the region there are many who have a need for a safe place for their children and who need help with their basic needs (food, housing, clothing). Our mission is to help with these basic needs and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
